Pastor Skip Woodfin and Mrs. Woodfin
Both Pastor and Mrs. Woodfin hail from West Texas. Skip and Dana met at church as teenagers and were married at age 20 in 1984. They attended Arlington Baptist College where Pastor Woodfin graduated in 1985. Later he received his Masters in Theology from Landmark Baptist Seminary. They have three children. Their oldest son is married, and their two youngest children are in college. The Woodfins were church planting missionaries for many years in Texas, Hawaii, and Indonesia.
They were involved in missions on Oahu both in Wahiawa and Waianae from 2000 until 2008. It was then that the Lord led them to Indonesia. They had the challenge of learning the Indonesian language first and were involved in evangelism, church planting, and training nationals there. The Lord enabled them, with the help of Indonesian nationals, to launch two churches. Additionally, they along with an Indonesian pastor and another American missionary launched a Bible College in Bali.
In 2011, Ko’olau Baptist Chruch invited Pastor Woodfin to be their Senior Pastor. They are very excited to be back in Hawaii which they have called home since 2000. Upon coming back to Hawaii Pastor Woodfin stated, “This truly is home for us. We love the people of Hawaii, so we are honored to be called back here, and we are filled with great enthusiasm about what God is doing through the ministry of Ko’olau Baptist Church."
