Our Leadership
Skip Woodfin
Lead Pastor

Pastor Woodfin has been in full-time ministry for 41 years, beginning while still training in Bible college. He and his wife, Dana, have been married since 1984. Their ministry brought them to Hawaii in 2000, and they immediately fell in love with the Islands and the people who live here. They have a real passion for helping people walk closer with the Lord and building strong families.
Rob Mirasol
Youth/Music Pastor

Pastor Rob grew up in West Oahu, where as a young man he gave his life to serve the Lord. He and his wife, Emmeline, met at Bible college in Pensacola, Florida, and married in 2007. Rob joined the KBC ministry staff in 2007. Both are talented musically and lead the music ministry alongside the youth ministry, with a desire to mentor young people into becoming strong in their faith.
Brian Valladares

Mr. Valladares arrived on Oahu with his wife, Amanda, in 2014, serving as a math and science teacher at Koʻolau Baptist Academy for six years before moving into the Principal position in 2020. He holds a B.A. in Humanities and an M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction, and is determined to carry on KBA's legacy of God-honoring academic excellence.
Dana Woodfin

Dana grew up in a Christian home and began serving as a teenager teaching children's Sunday school, in the nursery, and singing in the choir. She and Pastor have served in church planting in Texas and Hawaii and as missionaries in Indonesia. She works in the church office, leads women's ministries, writes the children's Sunday school lessons, and teaches a ladies Bible class.
Joan Sadoyama

Joan grew up in Wahiawa and has resided for decades in Waihole Valley with her husband of over 40 years, Norman, a farmer. The Sadoyamas came to know the Lord at Koʻolau Baptist in the mid-1980s and raised their five children in the church. Joan has served in the ministry for over 35 years, and she and Norman lead the Lanakila senior citizens' class.
Carmen Cook
KBA Secretary

Carmen grew up in a Christian home in California and was saved as a young girl. Her family relocated to Hawaii after her husband was stationed here with the military. She is the mother of three girls, and is a blessing in the office, greeting all who enter with a sweet smile and words of encouragement.
